The first Global Development Group Network Meeting in Nepal has been concluded on Friday 25th October this year, at the Radisson Hotel in Kathmandu.

Global Development Group (GDG), a leading Australia based development organization, has been actively working in Nepal, partnering with local organizations to foster sustainable development and improve the lives of marginalized communities.

Strengthening Governance

GDG, in collaboration with its Nepali partner, has been instrumental in strengthening governance practices in Nepal. By providing technical assistance and capacity building, they have empowered local governments and civil society organizations to enhance transparency, accountability, and citizen participation.

Innovative Fundraising Strategies

To ensure the sustainability of their initiatives, GDG and its partner have implemented innovative fundraising strategies. They have successfully mobilized resources from diverse donors, including government agencies, foundations, and private individuals, to support critical development projects.

Rigorous Monitoring and Evaluation

A cornerstone of GDG's approach is rigorous monitoring and evaluation (M&E). By employing robust M&E frameworks, they are able to track progress, measure impact, and make data-driven decisions to optimize their interventions. This commitment to evidence-based practices has led to significant improvements in project outcomes.

Impactful Projects

Some of the key areas where GDG and its partner have made a tangible impact in Nepal include:

Community Development: Empowering marginalized communities through skills training, microfinance, and infrastructure development.

Education: Improving access to quality education, particularly for girls and children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Healthcare: Strengthening healthcare systems, especially in rural areas, by providing medical supplies, training healthcare workers, and promoting preventive healthcare.

Through their collaborative efforts, GDG and its Nepali partner are making a lasting difference in the lives of vulnerable Nepalis. By fostering good governance, securing sustainable funding, and implementing effective monitoring and evaluation, they are driving positive change and building a brighter future for Nepal.
